Internet Explorer - Idle disconnect / Disconnect When Connection No Longer Needed Right Click on Internet Explorer and Left click on Properties and the Internet Properties window should open. If this window does not open it may be that their IE icon is only a shortcut. Another way to the Internet Properties window is to go to the Control panel (Start - Settings - Control Panel) and double click on the Internet Options icon. Go to the Connections tab highlight their dialer with a left click and then left click on Settings. There are 2 advanced tabs on this screen the top one should be grayed out they have to left click on the bottom one ( If the bottom one is grayed out you may have to recreate the dialer). There are 2 check boxes one for idle time disconnects the other for disconnecting when the connection is no longer needed. If either of these check boxes is checked uncheck them. Resolved. Connection Manager - Idle Disconnect If they use Connection Manager to connect there is an idle time disconnect in here as well. After they click the GO button have them cancel the connection and Click on the Properties tab. Under the Options Tab make sure Idle time disconnect is set to never.
