Whenever anything happens immediately on start-up it means that they have a program that uses the internet in one of the startups. Left click start select programs and go to Startup. If there is anything in this Startup take it out (you can drag it onto the desktop). The other Startup is in the System Configuration Utility (msconfig). Do a Msconfig clean up (see guide if required). Not on Boot Up If it doesnt happen on boot up but happens later they have not properly closed a program that requires the internet. Do they have anything on the taskbar that uses the Internet? Close it. Also check the small icons next to the clock. If you put the cursor on the icon and wait a small dialog box will open that tells you what it is check everything. If you find something in here that uses the internet usually you can right click on it and choose exit or close. |
